I plan to become a doctor when I grow up. Specifically, a cardiologist or something to do with the cardiology branch.
But, although I have a strong will to become a doctor, the salary still comes into mind.
So, I know surgeons make the most money out of all doctors really, but, if you excluded the surgeons, what type of doctor would make the most money.
Now, consider AVERAGE salary. Please be specific as possible.
Thanks.

Old adage probably told to all medical students, and not intended to be chosen as Best Answer:
The top third of the class make the best researchers and professors.
The middle third make the best all around doctors.
The lower third make the most money.

You’re correct; surgeons make the most money with an average of $219,770. The next top-paid professions are anesthesiologists ($211,750), oral/maxillofacial surgeons ($210,710), orthodontists ($206,190), and OBGYN ($204,470).
